NYC Architects All dressed Up
Carnival is here and now is time for dressing up and be in fiesta mood! But always with an architectural twist…
For today our office is inspired by the famous party ”Fête Moderne – a Fantasie in Flame and Silver” of 1931 that New York Times described it as ‘one of the great parties of the last century’.
In this Beaux-Arts Architects annual ball, acclaimed architects of the modernism era showed their humorous side dressed up as their signature buildings.
In the photo #1 you can see from left to right: Stewart Walker (Fuller Building), Leonard Schultze (Waldorf-Astoria), Ely Jacques Kahn (Squibb Building), William Van Alen (Chrysler Building), Ralph Walker (1 Wall Street), D.E.Ward (Metropolitan Tower), and Joseph H. Freelander (Museum of New York).
