The six-storey mixed used building lies in Martinego, a small area in Herakleion, Crete. Martinego is one of the most historic sites of the city. In fact, this was the place where the bastion of Martinego used to lie, the largest bastion in Heraklion. The building is 18m high and consists of four apartments, one maisonette and a medical clinic organized on four floors. The balconies in each residence offer a great view of the picturesque city of Herakleion. The main challenge for this project was to create a space that would differentiate the medical clinic from the apartments. This was achieved by designing a separate entrance for the latter. A very important task was to create a unifying facade and design, as well as to take over the interior design of the maisonette and its terrace.
