The six-storey high apartment building is situated in the center of Herakleion, the capital of the island of Crete.
The structure consists of a basement with storage areas, a pilotis with parking and planting area on the ground floor and six apartments organised on six levels. Each level consists of an apartment except for the second floor which consists of two apartments. On the sixth floor a maisonette has been designed and is connected with the fifth floor. The terrace space which is for private use and belongs to the maisonette, offers spectacular views towards the city and the sea. Most of the apartments have a big balcony in the east side, in which there are some linear slots on the floor that create an interesting facade because of the switching of the light with the shadow. In the west side there are two smaller balconies with sunset view. The facade design is characterized for its minimal forms and west’s side geometry. The neutral color of mocha, glass surfaces and the use of louvers -which offer natural ventilation and daylight- complete the image of the building.
