We were proposed to give a new designing approach to this private residence in Panorama,Thessaloniki for both its exterior view and -basically- for its interior design.
The 3-storey building of 200m2 is 50 years old and it was in bad shape. Thus, it needed to be renovated to fit the dreams and aspirations of the new habitants.
Both first and second level are accessible from the street, since we have used in our favor the altitude difference of the site.
The two upper levels constitute the main house. On one level, where the main entrance is, the living room, the dining room and kitchen have become part of a single space through the demolition of walls and the addition of vertical concrete and glassed separators.

A small guest WC has been created while the inner staircase for the other levels has been modified.
On the upper level there are the master bedroom, with a walking closet/dressing room and a private master bathroom, plus two single rooms that share another bathroom.
The lower level has a guest room, a playroom and an office and is equipped with a kitchenette, a WC and its own courtyard.
Because of the privileged location, the whole house and the exterior areas offer amazing views towards the city of Thessaloniki and the Saronikos gulf.
Our architectural intention was to introduce new elements and arrangements to correspond to new family intentions, showcasing contemporary lines and forms.
The new structures were designed by the use of exposed concrete and the rest of the materials are shown with sincerity.
The concrete, the glass, the white plaster and the wooden floors and surfaces combine a sober color palette and contrast with some pieces that give identity to the flexible space. The earthy colors with the whites and light greys create a calming, warm yet elegant atmosphere and a timeless result.

Architecture emerges out of careful analysis of how contemporary life constantly evolves and changes.
