A pop of color in a renovating school in Potinha Spain

This is the Braamcamp Freire Secondary School in Pontinha, Spain, a faculty which was recently renovated by the CVDB Arquitectos.

The building had to be reorganized in order to accommodate the needs of the school and at the same time to be an open structure for the local community. To make this happen, the team of architects organized the school and its activities around a central square which communicates with the surroundings and functions as a natural link with the local landscape.

The element which really caught our eye is the clever combination of colors. With exposed concrete as the dominant construction material, the school responds to its youthful character with shades of bright yellow, red and blue popping up in different unexpected views.

The color really adds to the final result, both in interior and exterior views, as it lightens the strict profile of the structure.
Moreover, the visitor can get a different perspective view according the ankle it stands, making each route of the building a new surprise.
