On the 7th of November,
The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and
The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies
has decided to honor OFFICETWENTYFIVEARCHITECTS with a special exhibition at their Museum in Athens, Greece.
The exhibition will be held under the title “OFFICETWENTYFIVEARCHITECTS Ten Years Through Architecture” and will be presenting the architects, through their work, their success stories and the failures, the awards, the distinctions and their dreams.
As Mr Karalias Chicago Athenaeum Museum Vice President says
”We met OFFICETWENTYFIVEARCHITECTS, after they had participated in “THE INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AWARD 2014” competition. They presented us a bold, almost rough architecture without decorative or other any other unnecessary elements. We came in touch with a projects that were a mixture between the modern architecture and Greek tradition through the use of forms and materials, such as wood, stone, glass, and clay. In that way, they reveal an international syntax for architecture, deriving from their Greek background.
OFFICETWENTYFIVEARCHITECTS recognize architecture as a transition from point A to point B, and elaborate with devotion all the given data in order to get there. For them, architecture is a way to answer fundamental questions about aesthetics, the environment, functionality, the client’s wishes and budget issues. There is coherence and continuance in their methodology, as they go from sketches to drawings, to 3d forms and finally to the realization of the whole during construction phase.
Maturity and lack of obsession and insecurity characterize their work.
They design open minded, without obsessions and insecurities, and finally, they deliver mature statements of architecture
Knowing them in person, we met a solid team of young and cheerful people, that has a huge amount and variety of architecture work to show. People with great sense of humor and passion for architecture.”
The opening reception will be held on November 7, 2014, 8.00-10.00pm. Τhe exhibition will be open until December 12, 2014, in
