DFI LOGISTICS BUILDING IN RHEINBERG, GERMANY

OFFICETWENTYFIVEARCHITECTS designed the DFI Logistics building, located close to the residential area of Rheinberg, Germany. The masterplan consists of a building complex of five buildings, multiple parking lots including bike sheds, docks, water areas, a play ground, a skatepark and a gym area. In order to reinforce sustainability, along with the green zones and the communal gardens with multiple sitting areas, that surround the property, the roofs of the buildings were also treated in a green way. More specifically, two green roofs were designed and on the three other buildings, solar panels were installed in order for them to be energy efficient. The sustainable approach is followed on the facades as well, as vertical blinds were placed on proper parts of the facade  which apart of their main role they also offer additional privacy.
