House In Neos Marmaras
This is a house in a touristic seaside village of Neos Marmaras, in Sithonia, Halkidiki. The house is designed as a vague connotation of a ship facing the sea.
We designed it, in order to take the most of the view, so the house is widely ‘open’ to its south west side. The site is inclined and faces two streets, one on the top and one at the bottom level of the slope. There are three main house levels and a basement level below them. The main entrance, is at the highest level leading to the living room, kitchen, bathroom and the guest room. An open staircase, leads to the lower level where there are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and the utility room. It has two skins. The first is dark rigid and bold, steadily planted in the ground. The second skin is white, light weighted and tilting its sharp edges towards the sea, in an impose to begin the journey.
