8-STOREY BUILDING IN KALAMARIA, THESSALONIKI

OFFICETWENTYFIVEARCHITECTS have designed an urban residential complex in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki, situated within a densely populated urban area. Despite the surrounding density, the building’s strategic position offers stunning city views starting from the fourth floor.To fully capitalize on this advantage, large glass surfaces have been integrated into the façades, allowing for abundant natural light and expansive views.

The building’s core is finished in dark grey plaster, while the balconies and protruding elements on the façades are white, creating an elegant contrast. Wooden sunshades are incorporated for both functional and aesthetic purposes, providing effective shading while adding a natural texture to the overall design.

On one side of the building, the volume adheres to the ideal solid rule, with a curved trace seamlessly integrated into this ideal form. This curved element shapes the balconies on that side and serves as a key volumetric feature, enhancing the building’s dynamic and innovative design.
