The project is about a two-storey building situated on west side of Kallithea, a village located in the first peninsula of Halkidiki, Greece. The building hosts twenty one studios for summer accommodation, developed on three different levels. The access to the plot is achieved through a small route leading to the swimming pool area. In this space one can also find the staircase through which visitors can access their rooms. The last ones have been designed under the same typology and consist of a small kitchen, a bathroom, a sleeping and a living area.
The complex is defined by special architectural choices that distinguish it from its surroundings. The basic design principle of the building was our intention to visibly separate each apartment. This is achieved by square volumes forming the balconies in northeast face, which are differentiated chromatically and morphologically. In general, white color dominates while anthracite was chosen for details such as aluminum frames, railings and metal vertical blinds.
